Mansik Jeon, Ph.D.

Prof. Mansik Jeon studied for his Ph.D. degree at

Kyungpook National University under the supervision of

Prof. Jaewon Song and Prof. Jeehyun Kim.

He is currently an Assistant Professor of School of Electronics Engineering, College of IT Engineering, Kyungpook National University in Republic of Korea. Before he joined the department, he was an Postdoctoral Research Associate of Biomedical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York (SUNY) from Mar. 2011 to Feb. 2013. And he also was Research Assistant Professor of POSTECH at Republic of Korea(Apr 2014-Feb 2015). He is dedicated to develop non-ionizing and non-invasive novel biomedical imaging techniques including Photoacoustic Tomography,

Optical Coherence Tomography, Fluorescence Imaging,

Optical Handheld Instruments, and Ultrasonic Imaging for biomedical researches, clinical translation, and commercialization.

A July 7, 2014 news item on MBC features a new technique that describes some of the challenges associated with medical imaging of small intestines.
